What Do Anti Wrinkle Muscle Relaxants Treat?

Anti Wrinkle Muscle Relaxants commonly treat facial lines including: Above Lip Lines; Bunny Lines around the nose; Chin Lines and dimpling; Crow’s Feet around the eyes; Forehead Lines; Frown Lines; and Marionette Lines, between the lips and the chin. They can also be used: For a Brow Lift; to lift a Downturned Mouth; to reduce Neck Bands and lift a sagging lower face and neck; for Jawline Slimming; and to reduce Sweating.

What are anti-wrinkle treatments?

Anti-wrinkle treatments are used to reduce lines and wrinkles that foam in the face. They contain a protein that causes the injected facial muscle to relax, smoothing out lines and wrinkles in the area.

How quickly will I see results?

With anti-wrinkle injections, expect to see initial results 1 to 3 days following treatment, with the full effects visible at between 7 and 14days.

How long will the results last?

The effects of anti-wrinkle treatments usually last up to four months. If you have anti-wrinkle treatments, the effects many last longer. Anti-wrinkle injections relax only the muscles beneath the lines where product has been injected, and the muscles responsible for other aspects of your facial expression stay active. If you have no further treatments, the muscles return to normal and lines gradually go back to how they looked before treatment. If you decide not to continue ongoing anti-wrinkle treatment, your muscles activity will gradually return and your wrinkles will slowly reappear. However, your wrinkles will NOT be worse than your pre-treatment state.

PRP

What is PRP?

PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma and this is an injection based procedure that uses a person's own blood to stimulate tissue rejuvenation. PRP is also known by other names such as Autologous Platelet Concentrate and Plasma Rich Growth Factors. PRP was first used in 1980's and it's been used for treatments of wounds, burns, tendon and muscle injuries. Over the last 10 years PRP has become increasingly popular as a aesthetic procedure to help regenerate and revitalise sun damanged and ageing skin.

How does PRP work?

The body has a great ability to heal itself. For example, if you have a cut, your body would try to heal the cut thourgh the action of platelets in the blood. Platelets are cells in the blood, platelets are responsible for blood clotting. Platelets also contain many natrual growth factors which can stimulate and regenerate damanged tissue. Normal blood contains approximately 6% platelets but PRP contains over 90% plateletsthat provides powerful therapeutic effect! For skin rejuvenation PRP works by stimulating the body to produce more of the important buidling blocks for the skin. The platelet growth factors in PRP help initiate tissue rejuvenation by various mechanisms such as stimulating new collagen porudction, inducing stem cell division and stimulating the formation of new blood vessels (angiogenesis).

What are the cosmetic/ aesthetic uses?

PRP can be used for hair loss (alopecia) fine lines and wrinkles, dull and dry skin. PRP can also improve overall skin texture and tone. PRP can also diminish and improve the appearance of scars. PRP can be also used with other treatments such as laser, anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers.
